Building Construction Technology introduces students to the world of construction. During the two years in this major students build a house from the foundation through the cabinets/finish carpentry. Students are exposed to all parts of the industry; carpentry, woodworking, cabinetmaking, print reading, engineering, site prep.

This program also exposes students to Sustainability (LEED) and Energy Efficiency (Energy Star) standards used in the construction industry. This real on the job work experience and the in depth shop projects is what makes Building Construction truly hands on, fun and different than any other Tech class at Benson.
